Good times, good times

This passage from the book I am reading has been bouncing in my head this past week:

"Invest in the lives of those closest to you. Love those whom God has placed in your life right now-today. Don't think of their companionship as a consolation prize or a temporary substitute until the 'real thing' comes along. They are the real thing."

I really have been missing my BFF's Meg and Am who abandoned me for the bright lights of the Big Apple. But thats ok, I forgive them :) now I have a free place to stay whenever I get brave enough to fly again. ANYWAY, I miss having a best friend that knows my daily goings on and vice versa. :( Everyone feel sorry for Lee Lee now! awwww. Just kidding, I just really miss you girls and am so angry that yall are having fun with out me!

On a craftier note...

Two towels done! I can't deny it any longer dear reader, I am pretty stinking good at embroidery! :)This flour sack towel with the Babushkas is HUGE! I guess it needs to be since it's so thin there is no way it could ever absorb anything unless it was wadded up.

I got this blue napkin from Target. I saw them on clearance but had no cash at the time, so on payday I went back to hunt them down, and they were reduced even LOWER! I think like 1.50? So YIPPY!

My first box and the embroidery I have been working on

I have finally finished ONE of my towels for my new apartment. Hoorah! At work, I have been getting lots of hours (ka-ching)! When I get home, I usually dont pick up a needle, you all know how strenuous embroidering is! lol.
The next and last step is to add the red pom pom trim and lace along the bottom. It will look AMAZING in my kitchen!!

Packing has started, this usually brings all sorts of sad things to my brain, but since I am moving HOME to east Texas I have a spring in my step. While packing up crafty things I discovered I have almost 30 embroidery hoops! WOOT!.

The first box packed and taped is Kitchen Stuff. LAA!!!
Working on the rest of my napkins which will be a little anthro inspired so look forward to that mess!

What I get paid to do.

in addition to building the best Lincoln Logs cabins you have ever seen, I get to watch such cinematic masterpieces as Aladdin, Cars, Cinderella, Pinocchio and Mulan. Oh, and I get all the fresh popcorn I can stand. Plus I am continually experimenting with Lemon-aid, Sprite and fruit punch... delicious and refreshing!
Probly the best thing that comes with my job is FREE MOVIES! I have lots of free passes so if you find yourself near Southlake, give me a shout!

My empty apartment!

Its all signed and paid for! Got the keys and everything! SOOO excited. This may be the first time I have ever been excited to pack up and start a new life. Well, every time we have moved to or in Van have been happy times. Took these with my phone and there is no light so...

Stove, oven, you may have seen one of these before.

Sink, counter tops DISHWASHER! This is where my cute glass sugar/flour canisters will go! :)

Living room from kitchen.

Caught Shannon in the dinning area. :) I want a tall drop leaf table to save space.

Kitchen from living room. Alan just barely clears the hanging light.

Storage above the fridge and stove. I think I will add some scrapbook paper or fabric to emphasize my red and aqua fetish.
well thats all I got for now.

What's up with Lee Lee lately

Who would buy this first of all? (shudder) It was staring at me at Garden Ridge.
Today the odometer in The Phaeton rolled over to 200,000! We went and checked out my soon to be apartment! SOOO excited!

Shannabee and I invested in some chocolatey face mask stuff that has to be refrigerated. Long story short, I broke out. :(

Found these at Barnes & Noble! Dairy free cookies! Makes my innerds happy!

Peach Crumb Cobbler soo Easy

Thank you Bakerella for this bit of yum. I just have to let you know about it. Just made it, love it, will dream about it tonight. I'm telling you dear reader EASY PEASY!

1-Pour 2 cans of peaches in baking dish
2-Dump 1 box of cake mix on top
3-Distribute a chopped up stick of butter on top of that
4-Sprinkle 1 cup of brown sugar to finish it off (you can add chopped pecans here if you wish, my wee little sister despises the stuff)

Bake 350 for 40-45 min! Thats it!
